Ms. Furgiuele is a Canadian speaker, consultant, and social advocate with lived experience in Human Trafficking and the Sex Trade.

For over eight years, Ms. Furgiuele has been educating various sectors on the reality of Human Trafficking in Canada and internationally. She focuses on bringing awareness and education to schools, service providers, police, and law enforcement agencies.

Michelle's educational content sheds a unique light on sex trafficking from the victim's perspective. Still, she is not shying away from discussing groundbreaking ways to tackle this issue, such as the offender's perspective.

Michelle has co-written several manuals on how to detect Human Trafficking, as well as assists victims in crisis as a Peer-Support worker at a Canadian Safe House for Victims of Human Trafficking.
